The B-Gen

The B-Gen is a product of Brenmiller Energy, being a steam generator and an energy accumulator, where a storage media keeps the heat internally, delivering the needed industrial steam, hot water or hot air only when is required.

This equipment can be charged by a biomass burner (one of the most used energy sources in the World), electricity from the grid, recovered industrial heat or any other available source.

What it is:

Renewable Enabler – The B-Gen is an enabler for the utilization of alternative power generation systems, especially from renewable sources like the biomass burners, photovoltaic or wind farms, thus delivering steady industrial heat with reduced CO2 emissions.

Savings – The B-Gen has become a significant savings method through allowing the switch of energy sources from expensive to cheaper ones, always considering the a much faster Return of Investment (ROI).

Flexibility – This equipment can accept a wide range of charging input temperatures, from 350°C up to 750°C.  

Efficiency – By decoupling between the charging cycle from the continuous biomass burner source and the energy delivery in different time slots of the process’s requests during the day, overall efficiency is significantly increased.

Lifetime – The storage media applied to this equipment enables tens of thousands of charge/discharge cycles with no performance degradation and a lifetime of 30 years with no storage media replacement whatsoever.

Modularity – Multiple units can be utilized to fit the client's needs anytime, including the growth on energy demand and planned increases.

No Hazardous – The B-Gen assures “Zero Emissions”, once the storage media does not include any aggressive material to the environment and do not carry any special chemical material or toxic substances inside.

Heat Losses – The internal storage losses are less than 3% in a 24 h time period, which is extremally low.

Automation level – The B-Gen unit is fully automatic and operated through a software communication protocol. No special local workers are required for operating the system. A special monitoring screen for control of the unit is supplied together with a mobile app. Hardware items of the system do not require any preventive or periodic maintenance.

The equipment B-Gen is delivered through many different alternatives, either as a regular sale or through an ESCO model, where SB2 can become a investor with or without the client as a partner, lowering the needed CAPEX, also maintaining and operating the B-Gen.

The AirPower Jet Turbine

This technology can provide large scale, high power density, fixed or mobile, clean electricity generation, also with freshwater and cool air production

AirPower Jet Turbines can be used in industries, residential villages, shopping centers, supermarkets, airports, data centers, etc. 

The equipment can be installed jointly with existing wind and solar PV farms, sharing the same substations and generating much more continuous combined and reliable power throughout the year, day and night.

AirPowerJet Turbines also provide clean energy and freshwater for isolated places... In single or multiple configurations they can also use any available source of wasted heat.

These turbine sets range from 300KW up to 5,0MW and can be installed easily in Diesel-Electric locomotives (reducing as much as 30% of diesel consumption and CO2 emissions), al well as on hybrid or electric trucks and buses... Another application can be done on hybrid and electric ships and/or in offshore oil and gas platforms.

How it works:

In the AirPowerJet Turbine set, a large mass of ambient air is continuously aspirated, compressed, heated and then accelerated in a converging duct, reaching speeds up to Mach 0,9 (1.200km/h) at the end of the duct. This airflow with a very high kinetic energy hits a specially designed turbine, using a proprietary AirPower technology. The turbine is linked to an electric permanent magnet generator, and the air impact and kinetic energy conversion in the turbine generate clean electric power. Sequentially, the low-speed air is extracted from the turbine and sent back to the atmosphere... In the process, the air gets very cold and condensates its contained water moisture, producing significant quantities of condensed water and cool air for refrigeration and cooling purposes.

AirPowerJet Turbines have a very high capacity and efficiency factor (over 90-92%), running continuously 365 days/yr, being specially suited to be operated with solar panels (photovoltaic installations) and thermal batteries like the B-Gen (TM).

A complete family of AirPowerJet Turbines are designed and functional from 300KW up to 5,0MW. 

The AirPower Jet turbines can be provided directly to suit the client's energy generation needs (delivered in a EPC like model) or also supplied under an ESCO business model, where SB2 can become a investor with or without the client as a partner, lowering the needed CAPEX, also maintaining and operating the electricity generation plant and managing the entire business together with him.
